PERFECT ESKY SETUP

Still wondering?

Here’s what most people ask before switching to reusable ice.

Performance & Safety:

Do they actually stay cold?

Yes.

They freeze solid and hold temperature just like regular ice — without melting into water.

The difference?

No flooding. No soggy food. No watered-down drinks.

How long do they stay cold?

In our Aussie heat test (28°C):

• Mini lasted 36 hours

• Max lasted 60 hours

That was using just one bag.

More bags = longer cold.

Performance will vary based on your esky, packing method, and outside temperature — but they’re built to go the distance.

What are they filled with?

Purified water.

That’s it.

No gel.

No chemicals.

No weird blue liquid.

Just purified water sealed inside a durable, BPA-free outer shell.

Are they safe to use with drinks and food?

Yes.

They’re sealed, BPA-free, and food safe.

You can use them directly in drinks, around food, or in your esky without worry.

Choosing the Right Size:

What size should I choose — Mini or Max?

Mini (2kg):

Perfect for drinks, smaller eskies, day trips.

Max (5kg):

Best for larger setups, fishing trips, camping, or multi-day use.

If you want longer cooling and fewer refreezes — go Max.

How many bags do I need for my esky?

It depends on size — but here’s a solid guide:

Mini (2kg)

Best for:

• Wine bags

• Drinks-only setups

• Small 20–30L eskies

• Day trips

Max (5kg)

Best for:

• Medium eskies → 2 bags minimum

• Larger eskies → 3–4 bags

• Multi-day trips or fishing setups → 2+ bags

More thermal mass = longer lasting cold.

If you’re packing fish or heading out for multiple days, we recommend erring on the higher side.

How many cubes come in a bag?

Mini (2kg) → 120 cubes

Max (5kg) → 130 cubes

Exact weight can vary slightly depending on fill level, but cube count remains consistent.

Using them properly

How do I clean and reuse them?

Simple.

After use:

  1. Rinse with water.

  2. Let them dry.

  3. Refreeze.

That’s it.

Freeze once. Reuse again and again.

Can I use them alongside your ice trays?

Absolutely — and we recommend it.

Best setup:

Blocks on the bottom.

Food & drinks in the middle.

Cubes on top for full coverage cooling.

That’s how you lock in cold properly.
